In addition to seeking the highest wage increase for EB, our commitment, our hard work deserves recognition that goes beyond the bare minimum. I am committed to utilising members’ money for members.
I am from the frontline, not SAPOL management. I am committed to representing ALL members - I understand the sacrifices you make. I stand by you as I am one of you!
During my 24 year policing role - working both Country and Metro postings - I have been delegate and proxy for workplaces since 2009 and currently on Committee of Management since 2021.
I want PASA to serve & support members. I will support digital meeting attendance. I will advocate for enhanced member support and mental health services and much more.
To date over the decades we have got some good pay rises – HOWEVER EB negotiations are vital right now-to retain members.
These negotiations must reflect the sacrifices we have made over these past few years, which are worth far more than any minimums.
The EB negotiation team is just that, it is not made up of one person. You need to know this. These negotiations must be above and beyond standard offers. I will not stand for negotiations that aren’t the highest possible and comparable to our colleagues interstate. I will fight for better shift allowances, penalties/conditions, and fight to expand salary sacrificing conditions.
I have a vast experience across metro and country postings - Transit, Netley Patrols, Sturt Tactical Unit, Whyalla patrols, Peterborough patrols, Kadina patrols and CIB, Victor Harbor patrols and CIB, Christies Beach CIB, Serious and Organised Crime Branch, Financial Cybercrime Investigation Branch. I have a good understanding of a flexible work life balance. I have worked with so many of you, and remember all the good times on patrols, as well as the stressful times. I know that the good times at the moment can be limited, you don’t have enough staff, and you don’t have enough money.
My advocacy for you is displayed through my proven results, having achieved policy changes relating to leave entitlements, RDO conditions and welfare of members.
Since 2009, I have been Delegate, elected PASA Committee member (Since March 2021), represented PASA at PFA in Canberra, PASA Legal Committee and the Parliamentary Select Mental Health Committee's Working Party. These roles reflect my long-standing dedication to supporting our members.
I’m from the frontline, not from management drawing on MY EXPERIENCE within PASA representing YOU! I have the experience, knowledge and above all courage, to stand-up for members going through legal, industrial, and psychological challenges - now and into the future as your President. I will steer PASA towards a future that prioritises above average pay/conditions that benefits you, the member, and give support to members with understanding and compassion. Other Presidents have come from the Rank & File, with no management or executive experience. It’s not a pre-requisite of the role.
